Q: How much is the evaluation? A:
The cost varies with the type of service. I prefer not to quote a single price, as is often done in this field, because not
all cases are the same. The initial conasultation is $50, which can be credited to yoour account once the services are provided.
Q: What's included in the evaluation? A: Evaluations can vary from county to county. For example, in Palm Beach a Gifted assessment requires
and IQ test and an Achievement test, while Dade and Broward only require IQ. Many clinically trained psychologists will do
a comprehensive Psychoeducational Battery no matter what the child's academic issues are, often running in the $1500 to $2000
range. I prefer to tailor my assessments to the individual needs of each child. Each child is unique as are their needs
and strengths, therefore, I offer a brief consultation with the parents for each child in order to provide the best individualized
approach possible, at the most economic cost!

Q: What is "Response to Intervention (RtI)?" A: RtI as it is referred to, is part of the "problem solving" method currently being implemented
in the public school system throughout the state and country. The goal of this approach is to better identify those children
in need of more intense intervention or special education supports.

Q: Do you provide tutoring? A:
At this time I do not. However, I can consult with parents as to how to better help their children with certain academic subjects.
We also have a number of professional tutors that we refer to in the local community.

Q: How young can I test my child for Gifted? A: I prefer to test
children who are enrolled in Pre-K or equivalent Daycare academic settings. This means that they are at least 5 years old.
Research has shown that testing at younger ages is less reliable.

Q: Do you accept Insurances? A: Unfortunately, at this time the
insurance industry has chosen not to adequately reimburse for Psychological/Assessment services. Therefore, I prefer
to accept cash or check for service (Boca Raton office accepts credit cards). I will also provide you with an itemized
statement to submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement.
Q: Is there a charge for the consultation? A: Yes, $50 dollars is the normal fee for consultations, however, this fee will be credited to your account if further
services are contracted.
